Eucalyptus Shower

How Hanging Eucalyptus In Your Shower Can Benefit Your Health

Eucalyptus has been shown to help relieve upper respiratory issues, which is why it's often the active ingredient in over-the-counter chest rubs and used with humidifiers. Eucalyptus has a strong scent that quickly clears your airways and chases away mental fog. The steam of the shower releases the essential oils of the plant, which can clear nasal congestion, and inflammation related to sinus and bronchial infections.

Fresh eucalyptus emits a calming and refreshing scent that is welcoming when unwinding after a long, stressful day. Inhaling eucalyptus from the steam may help to improve mood and relax your nerves. After enjoying a eucalyptus shower, you might just be obsessed with eucalyptus.

You can purchase fresh eucalyptus from your local florist, plant shop, or the flower section of your grocery store. I got mine from Trader Joe’s for $2.99 a bundle. Once you've got your eucalyptus, simply tie the stems together with a natural twine or a rubber band and then tie them to the shower head. Make sure to tie them toward the back of the shower head so they're not directly in the water's flow.
